Ndovu the Elephant

20.00

Baby Elephant Ndovu is looking for adventure on the Kenyan Serengeti.  Wandering away from his herd one morning, he realizes he's misplaced his family.  Children will love the excitement of the elephant's search for his home as he interacts with over a dozen native animals, and the joy of being reunited with his herd.

Illustrated by photos taken by the author in two of Kenya's National Wildlife Parks, Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru, this heartwarming story balances the joy of exploration with the security of home and family.  Each animal is given its Swahili name and attitudes typical of his character.  Each book comes with a removable sheet that lists the animals' names in Swahili, how the names are pronounced, and the English translations.

100% of the proceeds from each Ndovu book sale go to my medical missionary work.  The funds have put in a water supply in Keumbu, Kenya, brought medical supplies to a leprosy colony in Chenai, India, and paid for training medical students in a small clinic in rural Haiti.  Each year I make a foreign missionary trip.  For more details, see "On a Mission," my book about my Kenya trips.
